There Ain't No Cure For the Summer Time Blues

Kiddos seem to be able to find things to entertain themselves with.  I was about to start lunch one day when the kiddos decided they wanted pizza.  They were quickly informed that we weren't going to town but they were welcome to make one if they could figure out how to make one from scratch and clean up their mess.  Little turkeys did a good job.  We didn't have any pizza or spaghetti sauce but they did good with cooking tomato sauce down and adding spices.  Sister made the dough while Brother made the sauce.  Then they used deli sliced sandwich meat and a shredded four cheese blend I had in the icebox.  Turned out pretty good, too.

Their creation.

Brother likes watching things such as Swamp People, Swamp Loggers, and other such shows.  While he's watching these shows, he plays with his LEGO's, a lot.  At the end of Summer 2010, I'd gotten him the construction set for having been really good to help me on a project.  With that set, in addition to several others he has, he is always making all sorts of things, usually trucks of varying degree.  He'd said he wished that they had a log truck set and I told him that I bet with the LEGO he has, he could make one.  And he did.  Here is a series of shots of his next to last build.

And the animals around this funny farm?  Well, they have their own plans worked out.
