Post fire, the tensions and stress of dealing with not knowing whether to evacuate or not began to subside due to emergency personnel getting a handle on the fire and with some welcomed and much needed rain. Though it wasn’t much, the approximate 1.5 inches we received through the 21st and 22nd of June kind of breathed life back into much of the flora and fauna. Then, the first of July, we received a bit more of the liquid blessing, though it wasn’t even a half inch.
One of the Forest Trucks that is still hanging around. Looks like an early fall. Unfortunately, that is all the color.
Once upon a time, where hung smoke plumes reminiscent of atomic bombs; stood the promise of better days ahead. We all need patience the better days will come in due time.
